About Me
I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedicine from Pearson University in South Africa, a Masters of Science degree in Molecular Biology and Genetics from the University of Pavia, Italy and University of Heidelberg, Germany. Currently, I am enrolled as a doctoral student in Converging Technologies for Biomolecular Systems at the University of Milan Bicocca, Italy. My research interests are focused on the mechanisms of drug resistance in Non Small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC), as well as the identification of more accurate biomarkers (miRNA-based) for the diagnosis and treatment of lung cancer. Outsides working as a scientific researcher, I also enjoy traveling, photography, vlogging, and particularly doing things I have never done before, hence I would like to describe myself as bold, vibrant, and adventurous.
